This pattern happened due to three requests.
In my local knitting group several beginner knitters wanted to learn how to do a cable stitch, two family members requested tall, warm boot socks, and others just wanted boot toppers.
Our family has expanded greatly in the past few years. I think I could become a “full-time sock knitter,” just to honor requests. As more households have a “shoes off at the door” policy, warm socks become increasingly important.
With the exciting colorful washable/dryable yarns available to knitters today, we can choose to incorporate the cable or simply let the yarn tell its own story.
Included in this pattern booklet are directions for a plaited cabled headband and plaited cabled boot toppers.
